Old Tehri - Submerged memories


Beautiful town - Old Tehri


 They watch their house, fields, memories submerging slowly but surely. They were helpless.... but the pain was not less.....



Old Tehri almost submerged - there were no signs of busy market, ghanatghar, palace... all buried under water.






 Its all water now and mum silence..... it looks beautiful but so many memories and  so much pain is burried under this water

Uttaranchal Tourist Place - Dodital
















Dodital is a freshwater lake in Uttarakhand, India, situated at a height of 3,024 metres (9,921 ft). Dodital can be a great trek. This place is often undiscovered by the tourists, who often visit Nainital and Bhimtal only. But this place is just next to heaven if not heaven. Eyue soothing natural beauty, mental peace and opportunity of meditation right in the lap of mother nature.
To reach dodital one may reach Uttarkashi by road and would need to walk to dodital here via bewra and other minor villages alongside ganga river.

According to one of the popular legends Lord Ganesha chose this place as his abode. There is also a temple devoted to Lord Ganesha here. Another name for this lake is 'dhundital' meaning ganesh ka tal or lake of Ganesha.
